Touchless, automatic commercial soap dispensers not only offer hands-free operations to mitigate the risks of spreading germs. They also dispense the perfect amount of soap each user needs for proper handwashing.  Are you working on a [commercial restroom renovation](https://www.chicagofaucets.com/market/commercial) or a new construction project and need to find durable touchless, commercial-grade soap dispensers that will handle the wear and tear of heavy use? Check out the latest in soap dispenser technology and the must-have features the experts recommend. *Key Takeaways:* - *On average, 33% of the population doesn't wash their hands at all or doesn't wash them effectively, contributing to the spread of harmful germs.* - *Automatic soap dispensers mitigate risks associated with touching contaminated surfaces. They improve public health and hygiene.* - *Style, function, and capacity are just a few features and options to consider when looking for the right commercial-grade soap dispenser.* - *Chicago Faucet presents the most attractive soap dispenser with their E-Tronic® 80 series in matte black. They carry four models for commercial applications.* ## **Why Go Touchless?** Only around [67% of the population](https://facts.net/hand-washing-facts/) washes their hands correctly. Lack of or improper handwashing leads to spreading harmful germs that can lead to illness or even death. Sadly, many who wash their hands do not do it for the [CDC recommended duration](https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/when-how-handwashing.html) of 20 seconds.  Check out the infograph below. It covers facts about handwashing that might shock you. They make compelling reasons to install touchless automatic soap dispensers and [other touchless fixtures and actuators](https://learn.geberitnorthamerica.com/blog/touchless-actuators-the-next-wave-in-restroom-hygiene) in your commercial restroom projects. ## **6 Must-Have Features in a Touchless Automatic Commercial Soap Dispensers ** Automatic soap dispensers mitigate risks associated with touching contaminated surfaces. They [improve public health and hygiene](https://learn.chicagofaucets.com/blog/the-1-2-3-guide-to-hand-hygiene-in-commercial-buildings). The features of these fixtures are why designers, architects, and contractors opt to install them in their commercial restroom projects. Here's what these industry experts look for: ### 1. Style    It doesn't matter if you are constructing a restroom remodel for an upscale shopping center or an industrial building. You want stylish fixtures that make using the restroom more comfortable while offering a touch of modern design. A sleek, modern finish will give your project the stylish design you desire.  A matte black finish on restroom and kitchen fixtures is one of the trending fashions in commercial (and even residential) fixture designs. ### 2. Power Options      It doesn't matter if you are constructing a restroom remodel for an upscale shopping center or an industrial building. You want stylish fixtures that make using the lavatory more comfortable while offering a touch of modern design. A sleek, modern finish will give your project the fashionable design you desire. A matte black finish on restroom and kitchen fixtures is one of the [trending fashions in commercial](https://www.hgtv.com/design/decorating/color/matte-black-is-trending) (and even residential) fixture designs. They look less "industrial" than polished chrome fixtures and (ironically) give the room a pop of color that adds visual interest. ### 3. Capacity  Nothing impacts the cost of a fixture like the unforeseen expenses, like having to pay more in labor for custodial staff who have to return to refill dispensers multiple times throughout a shift. Look for a commercial-grade soap dispenser that offers large-capacity containers. It's also a good idea to ensure the fixtures are easy to fill. Large capacity doesn't save in labor if refilling the device is complicated. ### 4. Durability    Public restrooms - especially those that get high traffic - require fixtures that can withstand the wear and tear of heavy use. Several brands advertise commercial-grade quality, but unless you purchase from a [manufacturer specializing in commercial-grade fixtures](https://www.chicagofaucets.com/about/corporate-responsibility), you risk ordering inferior products. It's also a good idea to look for a supplier with a corporate responsibility centered around conservation and sustainability. ### 5. Responsiveness     Sensor responsiveness differentiates between an effective fixture and one that frustrates users. The time it takes for the sensor to respond to the user's hand motion should be less than two seconds, and dispense enough soap for thorough handwashing. ### 6. Affordability When it comes to cost, the price is not an indicator of quality. Some less reputable plumbing product manufacturers will slap a "commercial-grade" label on the fixture so they can charge more without offering any additional durability.  Likewise, not all affordable fixtures are "cheap." You can find commercial-grade soap dispensers that are reliable, durable, and stylish for a price that won't break your project's budget. ## **Top Choices for E-80 Soap Dispensers by Chicago Faucets** For a touchless automatic commercial soap dispenser that offers all of the features mentioned above, check out the E-80 commercial soap dispenser from Chicago Faucets, the industry-leading manufacturer of plumbing fixtures.  Get the style you want with the functionality you need with the E-80 matte black soap dispenser.
